An estate sale, also known as a tag sale, is the process of liquidating and selling personal property. Estate sales are held for many reasons — such as downsizing, relocating, or handling the belongings of a deceased family member.
We focus on large estates as well as smaller, high-quality homes and curated collections. Our ability to take on a sale depends on scheduling and availability. If we're unable to accommodate your timing or specific needs, we'll happily connect you with a trusted professional referral who can handle your estate with the same level of care and expertise.
We currently handle sales within the Greater New Orleans area and the Northshore.
We do not take consignments or combine multiple estates. However, you're welcome to contact us for advice and suggestions on selling smaller amounts of personal property.
With decades of experience and access to knowledgeable consultants and market resources, we carefully research and price each item at Fair Market Value. Our goal is to sell your property competitively and maximize your return while achieving your transition goals.
Marketing is one of our specialties. We promote our sales through leading estate sale websites, social media, and professional email campaigns to our extensive list of followers and return customers.
Our fees are based on a standard commission rate of total gross sales and vary based on the size and condition of the estate. We do not charge any up-front fees — commission details are quoted after an in-person walk-through. All consultations and walk-throughs are completely free. Even if we can't take on your sale, we're happy to provide direction and helpful advice.
Once an agreement is signed, we'll schedule your sale based on your needs and our calendar. Preparation and promotion typically require about two weeks, followed by a two-day sale held Saturday and Sunday only.
Unsold items are managed according to the arrangement made at the time of contract. Many clients choose to donate remaining items, with tax receipts available for your records.
You're welcome to be as involved as you wish. However, many clients prefer not to be present during the sale process, as it can be an emotional experience. The choice is entirely yours.
For more details or to schedule a free consultation, call or message Mary Boudreau anytime at (504) 583-1243 or [email protected]. We'll be happy to discuss how we can help with your estate sale needs.
We handle everything from initial consultation to the final sale — pricing, marketing, and conducting your on-site estate sale with professionalism and care.
With decades of experience, we carefully research and price each item at Fair Market Value using knowledgeable consultants and current market resources.
We expertly stage and present your estate to showcase every item at its best — creating an inviting, organized environment that attracts serious buyers and maximizes your results.
